The Dream

            I look into her eyes,

            I dive into her eyes,

The swim is in the blue,

            The water is cold,

            No hands to hold,

I come for air,

The sunlight I see,

The mud is on my skin,

Brown and twice as thick as skin,

            Cold from within,

            The eyes of the beast,

He wants to make me his feast,

Dark jungle creeping vines,

            Lights in the sky,

Of a world left behind,

            Nowhere to run,

            Nowhere to hide,

            A scream of terror,

            A body split wide,

            Blood on the leaves,

            A dash of red,

            At the sunset,

            Up in the sky,

            The aliens have come

            The city is high,

            High on the drug,

            Beneath the rug,

            Our bodies meet,

            A touch of cold feet,

            Naked sweat,

            Running for life,

            She is my wife,

            He is my child,

            Born to be free,

            Born to be wild,

The car is fired up,

The ride has begun,

The road is my mother,

The speed is my son,

This is where it all ends,

This is where it has begun,

Stranger stands up,

Asks for a lift,

He enters the car,

And his shape takes a shift,

She's got brown hair,

And skin so fair,

In a yellow top,

And beige slacks,

She says she's hungry,

I give her my snack,

The ride goes on,

Up to the hill,

Every day,

It's the run-of-the-mill,

She holds my hand,

And kisses me tight,

I wonder why,

I am feeling so light,

I open my eyes,

I am in the air,

She pushed me off the cliff,

At the ground I stare,

As it rushes up to me,

            And then I scream,

            End of dream.
